At Hallwalls as part of the Buffalo Infringement Festival

These two shows were the very first Politaoke events in the United States. The format was still incomplete but the basis was already there and thought the first audience was small, each show lasted over the allotted time. Participants did multiple speeches and the locals were impressed enough by some, that they jokingly told them they should actually run for office. Our MC, Diana Arce countered “Why Not!?”

We didn’t know this then, but realized later this was the beginning of the movement and our Mantra, You for Office.
